Course Description:

The Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) is an educational program jointly sponsored by the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and the American Heart Association (AHA). The NRP course conveys an evidence-based approach to the care of the newborn at birth and facilitates effective team-based care for healthcare professionals who care for newborns at the time of delivery. NRP utilizes a blended learning approach, including online testing, case-based simulations, and hands-on case-based simulation/debriefing that focuses on critical leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.

Intended Audience:

The intended audience for this course includes pediatricians, emergency physicians, nurses, paramedics, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals who may be involved in the first critical moments of a newborn infant’s life. The Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) course format requires learners to self-study the material from the Textbook of Neonatal Resuscitation, 8th edition, and take a mandatory online examination BEFORE attending their NRP course.

Course Work:

1. Once you register for NRP through the Cooper registration site (enrollware.com), you will be entered into the New NRP Learning Platform.

2. You will receive an email from the no-reply@nrplearningplatform.com site to create an account and be assigned an NRP Global ID. Once this is completed, your registration will then be completed.
