 This course is for advanced, experienced healthcare professionals

who use ACLS on a regular basis.

Participants must possess a current American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) card and must be able to provide a copy of their current card if requested. If your card has expired, please register for an initial provider class. 

Prerequisites

  1. PRE-COURSE SELF-ASSESSMENT AND PRE-COURSE WORK: The pre-course self-assessment/pre-course work will be emailed to you within 24 hours of registering or two business days.
  2. ACLS ONLINE EXAM: The exam will be emailed to you within 24 hours of registering or two business days.
  3. BLS HEARTCODE: The heartcode will be emailed to you within 24 hours of registering or two business days.

In-person skills session

  • Attend in-person instructor-led skills evaluation 
    • The skills evaluation session will evaluate the following areas (Adult and infant High-Quality BLS, Airway Management, Functioning as a member and leader of a resuscitation team)

                   

Course Description

The ACLS/BLS Renewal for Cooper Physicians and APPs course combines the ACLS Precourse Self-Assessment and Precourse Work with an instructor-led skills evaluation session. 

After completing the ACLS precourse self-assessment, ACLS Precourse work, and BLS heartcode, you will attend a structured, Instructor-led, hands-on session focusing on meaningful skills practice, debriefing, team dynamics training, megacode cases, and skills testing. 

The in-person session will evaluate the material you completed and reviewed during the AHA ACLS Precourse work and online ACLS and BLS exams.
