Course Description
The ACLS update course is a renewal and update class for healthcare professionals who hold a current ACLS certification, updating their knowledge and skills according to the latest 2025 AHA Guidelines. The course covers the recognition and management of cardiac arrest, stroke, and other emergencies, reinforcing BLS skills and focusing on team dynamics, pharmacology, and airway management.

ACLS is designed for healthcare professionals who either direct or participate in the management of cardiac arrest, stroke, or other cardiopulmonary emergencies. This includes personnel in emergency response, emergency medicine, critical care/intensive care, and surgery such as Physicians, Nurses, and Paramedics, as well as others who need an ACLS course completion card for a job or other requirement. Upon successful completion of the course, students receive a course completion card, valid for two years.
Prerequisites
Providers who take the ACLS Course must be proficient in the following:
• Performing high-quality BLS skills according to the current American Heart Association Guidelines for CPR and ECC
• Reading and interpreting electrocardiograms (ECGs)
• Understanding ACLS pharmacology
• Providing bag-mask ventilation
BLS
We will also provide all students with a BLS for Healthcare Providers card. BLS for healthcare providers is focused on the skill of CPR for victims of all ages and will practice CPR in a team setting. You will learn how to use an AED and how to relieve choking.

- Bag-Mask Ventilation
- Open-book written exam with a minimum score of 84%
Course Description
The course is for anyone attending ACLS for the first time or who does not have a current valid ACLS certification. The ACLS Blended Learning course is a combination of the ACLS Precourse Self-Assessment and Video Prework with a 1-day Instructor-led classroom session that teaches the importance of preventing cardiac arrest, high-performance teams, early and continuous, high-quality CPR, systems of care, recognition, and intervention of cardiopulmonary arrest, post-cardiac arrest care, acute dysrhythmias, stroke, and acute coronary syndromes (ACS).
